Hay men I need some help with turbo size. I have a nissan patrol Rd2.8t diesel which is dead .And I am replacing it with a turbo Rb30 Now Just before the diesel engine died I replaced the standard turbo with a custom Garett GT25 with very small compresser and exhaust housings for low down Boost on the diesel. So how large a AR do I need for a Rb30 and can a gt25 do it. Thanks Steve

gt25 = NO DEAL. Anyway you put it really it's NO DEAL A RB30 with 2x GT25's would be alright but damn i have one on my ca18det toy car and it's too small for that!

depends really, what do you plan to do with the car? what are the exact specs of the gt25? if you want alot of low down power and none to zero top end, which in a 4WD you prolly wont need, it would be ok. get specs up mate

Inlet .48 Exhaust .48 Whats the biggest AR that can be fitted to the Gt25 And yes the car dose need some low down power but its not that important as the 4x4 has aftermarket low range gears so I can use some revs if needed

i cant fing a GT25 with that size rear, all i found is 0.64, so mabe you could get that size rear then the turbo would be useable, but to get it to hold boost through the revs id say you would need to have low boost, and the power gains would be minimul, if i were you id sell it off and buy a rb30 and a turbo conversion kit.

I never asked what size the wheels are but the turbo was custom made by GCG turbos and it cost me $1300 12 months ago So what should it be worth 2nd hand Buy the way what do you get in a conversion kit Because I was going to buy Turbo pistons and what ever else is needed to build a strong engine bit by bit as funds allowed.

If it's a GT25 Ball Bearing unit you should get around 700 if its in good condition somwhere like nissansilvia.com Usually you with a conversion you get turbo, manifold, ecu, injectors @ some other little bits but keep your NA inlet plenum and run a intercooler, you will get some major power gains from that.

Great I will look into that after I rebuild the long block
