For those guys who have actually done it, Just to get mine sorted for roadworthy etc. On the side of the T700 I have a vdo pulse generator. Basically what do I do to adapt the speedo cable?? apart from being not much room under there does someone make a right angles piece to come off the pulse generator?? then attaching the cable itself. Cheers

a pulse generator doesnt have any speedo cable attatchment its all electronic. to make it work electrically it can be very expensive as you need a comp and a elec motor behind speedo to make needle move. best off finding a mechanical drive gear and adapting a cable to it

No, I have a pulse generator that accepts a speedo cable for the purpose of the conversion. vdo make them and so do autometer. I just need to know how to clamp the speedo cable to it. someone will have done it and know

Na, the cars always had the pulse generator, just not the speedo cable hooked up. Matt Turnbull at injected Holdens has been kind enough to help me out. There wasnt much room between the box and chassis rail so a company called flexi drive makes a right angled drive piece, I need a gear reduction box to account for the change of diff gears so they do that to, and from there the pulse generator is fitted then a new speedo cable has to be made with a 22mm metric fine thread nut on it to screw onto the other end of the pulse generator
