It finally Died after a Blown Head gasket for a year, and many other bandaids to keep it going, think it done a Piston or the bottom end let go was driving home last night and cruch bang boom and it stopped, and then wouldnt even turn over, 600000km is not a bad run from a NA, will put in the 180000km motor on the weekend, see how that goes. still building a Turbo motor, but its not ready yet.

I think my N/A is not far off doing the same!! Is the motor your building a series one or two? Im going to try to build a turbo donk out of a series one, which means I'll need to drill out and tap in some thread, for the turbo oil and water lines..

Let us know what happened, I'm guessing a big end seized, low oil pressure due to failing worn pump, prob a faulty oil pressure sender too not reporting properly, Anyway curious what you find was wrong with it ? edit: Or since it was only a minor crunch Maybe just a gudgeon pin siezed as a big end gone would have been much noiseier if it broke a rod... Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

my motor blew up the other day (cept i wasnt driving it, my mate was) shot the rod out the side of the block, pretty sure it was my oil pump but who knows mate said it was making a really rattly noise and he was trying to get it home before it done any serious damage then BOOM lol got a new bottom end with forgies in it i got off another mate to go in, gonna use my head as its brand new only done about 2000km's so should be a good mix for a strong motor i reckon
