ok now this is really pissing me off my vn now isnt too bad to start when hot its pretty good but now when it heats up u put ur foot down and it makes more noise than what it goes. if u put it in neutral and rev it its not as responsive also it misses and wants to turn off, the engine light turns on and it coughs and splutters and carrys on untill i turn it off and then it will not turn on till it cools down. i have absolughtly no idea whats going on it was progressive it started last week and just got worse and worse now im not even going to bother driving it. when its cold its an animal but after that its ****ed. has anyone else had this problem before? what could it be? what should i do? any suggestions would be greatly appreciated cheers

try the temp sensor or the oxygen sensor but more than likely the temp sensor

it could be a bunch of things. fuel pumps tired, fuel filter needs replacing, injectors are dirty, oxy sensor, temp sensor and its really gonna keep going.... Id say shes not getting enough fuel when shes hot so try the temp sensor and fuel filter and clean the injectors. The engine light will come on just because she's not running right...mostly senseing shes lean as she wont be getting enough fuel.
