just wondering what engine oil people use, synthetic/non synthetic, and what you think of them, pros/cons of oils u have used, or your recommended oil, people with vl turbos (which will be most of you) cheers, Blake Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

I usually run HPR30, but I decided to experiment with the magnatec crap and its exactly that CRAP. my engine has not sounded worse in its WHOLE life. I will be going back to HPR30 for sure.

I've just put HPR40 into mine... Gonna see how that goes, then ill drop it and try HPR30 and see if it makes a difference.

HPR40 is for dead engines isnt it? I know we used it on my mates VK when it was missing a ring or 2

Seemed like the best oil going by the description on the back... Have normally run magnatec but have recently tried HPR30 (on the n/a) and havent reallly been a fan of it as it made the lifters a little noisy, but just thought I'd try the 40 on the turbo motor and see what happens.

HPR15 here. Top stuff, cheap too. Some original photos have not been recovered yet.
