are the switches on the rear windows hooked up properly? have u checked for power there? as for the glove box light, they probably share a common ground and the ground is corroded..

haha i wish i could but for two reasons 1. i work 8-5 mon-fri 2. the car is unlicensed and i think the factory alarm(?) has been triggered? at the very least the horn is on and wont stop.

Pull the dash apart, remove the top pad and on the LHS somewhere you'll find the factory alarm module. UNPLUG IT !!! Also theres usually an alarm key switch in the glove box. Make sure its On properly. Or if theres not one in there, the plug is supposed to be bridged. Its possible when you played around with the glovebox light that it could have unplugged this.... I might have a pic somewhere that I'll find for you. Hopefully thats the problem cos its a ****en pain pulling the whole dash apart....

yer it probaly is stuck on. bridge the 2 pink wires from the glovebox key thingo if you want it disarmed. make sure the black wires arnt connected to anything. the glove box light is actually a trigger for the factory alarm module so it is possible that you have maybe done something to interupt the factory alarm (they are pretty sensitive even resistance differences may set it off) dont worry about removing the top pad steve just bridge the 2 pink wires. should solve everything. too much hassel taking complete dash apart. and factory alarm tends to cut fuel pumps out when driving haha. so yeah id just disarm it fully
