check the starter motor you may need a heat shield?
Also I dont mean to sound like you dont check nothing but check the oil and the oil sensor it could be faulty.

its cranks tho. and it stalled. go and get the codes taken from the ECU, will point you in the right direction. should log a fault code if it has turned the engine light on.

crank angle sensor or ign trigger module is common on the v8's need to get codes checked as it will let you know if its a MAP sensor or fuel related sensor. check fuel pressure maybe? next time it does it check spark and for inj pulse. if it has both it may be the pump

it is an expensive part so dont condem it yet you have to wait till it dies then check for spark!

another simple check would be to suss out all your air intake piping, make sure there all in good condition and secured together, also maybe a vacum hose has split somewhere sounds like one of them small problems that take a while to find and give the biggest headache

30-08-07, 20:44 GMT+10#11 you can get a reconditioned module off ebay for about $140 and they are good ive bought one off them and had no problems, better than paying over $400 from holden
