yeah man, im with just cars, they insured me, im 19, they insured for all mods to engine, tranny, 19" wheels even in my name, they dont care if uv had fines, only license cancellations, only prob is age excess, but as long as u dont cause the crash its all good. mine is insured for $9,000 atm for $1560 Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

Im abit older than you guys, but i just did the insurance run around and for me Vigil was by far the cheapest and insurured it for 15 big ones.Shannons was the most expensive and it would not be covered if it was stolen from home as it was not parked in a locked up garage, but a covered carport.Pretty **** if you ask me,thought about leaving it parked at the heathridge shop overnite, would be insured there.

yeah iv had a look around, havnt checked virgle, but with anywhere with cheap premiums there is heaps of catches. i think im just going to go 3rd party fire and theft cuz its like $440 roughly for each company

QBE wont insure turbos and RAC/SGIO might not, but if they do it'll be ****ing expensive Try HBF Even....

I've got mine with RAC Steve, but then again I'm not 18 They did however insure me at 18, then I went to HBF for a bit before coming back. Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

Just Car Insurance = huge excess. Try HBF. They insured me with my genuine walkie when I was only 23 for $1300 a year.

still live with your parents? im 18 and had dad as the #1 driver and me as the #2 for a while.. untill rac sused out what we were doing (considering he has 2 other cars) but then again mine isnt a turbo. if you can though, its a damn sight cheaper. i was paying like 500 for fully comp. paying about the same for 3rd party on my own now.

Ill give you all a little heads up. Having worked in insurance (for shannons) and getting to know quite alot about the industry i learnt quite a few things... I used to be one of the squad hunting round for the cheapest price. This is NOT the way to go about finding insurance. its all well and good insuring your 20k vl for 500 bucks then crash it only to find out it wasnt covered because you were wearing red socks instead of white ones and you didnt have your left eye closed at the time... You may laugh but ive heard some RIDICULOUS clauses in policys... Shannons for example will cover your car, no matter what modifications, no matter where its parked. MR_12 thats not quite right, if they insured you your car would have been covered in the carport at home, u probably misinterpreted what was said which is easy to do. They probably wouldnt have covered you at all if it was in a carport which is not that hard to understand why, VLs are one of the most broken into/stolen vehicles in the country you have to be very selective as to what you chose to insure, they are a business after all... Just cars wont let you pay in installments and have a $1000+ excess. shannons dont charge u any extra to pay by the month, and excess is around 500 bucks for under 25s. End of the day insurance is like anything else, you 100% get what u pay for, if u want the cheapest quote, pretty much bank on getting ****ed over when it comes to the crunch. Put it this way, i no longer work for shannons, my premiums will more then double next year because i no longer recieve the discounts, and ill still stay with them, for all my cars. Thats saying something!

ring vigil, they are good. they dont care about mods except for performance mods.

well that sort of defeats the purpose wouldnt you say

no. your premium doesnnt go up like just cars does if u have big wheels, lowered, stereo etc... they still cover it if it gets knocked off.

what im saying is, the majority of people here have/will have performance mods, so if you've got a mini truck, vigil sounds like the way to go.
