Hey all As title says, just wondering how much of you drive your pride and joy's daily? I don't think many people would becuase of how easy they are to steal and when modding/rebuilding they need to be off the road for perhaps weeks at a time anyway. Anyway was just curious, tried searching but didn't find anything really.

When are you people going to learn that not having insurance isnt about having your car stolen? It's about what happens if you have a crash. Who is going to pay for the other car's repairs when you can't even afford insurance? And for the record mine (when its on the road) is a daily driven car. Just be careful where you park and get a good alarm and immobiliser Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

Who is going to pay for the other car's repairs when you can't even afford insurance? I could never bring myself to spend multiple thousands of dollars per year on insuring a car only worth 10-15k, would rather take the risk that I won't have a crash. Full comprehensive on VLT's (or any other turbo car really) is an absolute rort. 3rd party is the only way to go with these type of cars, really - might as well gather up a few grand and burn it in your front yard, instead of getting full comp. Your car would pretty much have to be written off to make any sort of comprehensive insurance useful, by the time you add up premiums, excess and what the indivudual parts on your car could resale for, even then you're getting bugger all value for money - and thats only IF you write off your car within 2-3 years of owning it, which -most- of us won't do. Btw, I used mine as a daily for ages - got a daily now though as it's good on petrol and nice to not have to care where it's parked. Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

I have a VLCT as my "fun car", but get around in a pretty-much standard SII exec. I, (as much of us are) absolutely obsessed with VL's and wouldn't drive anything else. I love the feel, the sound and the...umm, character (I guess) of VL's.

Mines been my daily for the past nearly 15yrs. After the current power up, I still plan to use it as my drive to work and tow hack, hence the twin LPG tanks. I find that cars / bikes that a regularly used tend to be more reliable than the weekenders. When I was racing production bikes I had my racebike and an identical roadbike and the roadbike that was ridden to work etc every day was much more reliable than the identical bike that came out to be thrashed every 2nd or 3rd weekend.
