The wastegate is the best form of boost control. You get the spring closest to the target PSI you want to run, and then if your short by 2-5psi, just bleed it. The closer you get the gate spring the better and eliminates gate creep when using a weak spring and having to bleed too much to get it to the target. I ran 24psi, used a 17psi spring and just bled up and i had no issue at all even bleeding up 8psi. I did run 24psi with a 7psi spring for a while, but that was way too far and as a result massive gate creep in 4th/5th coming onto boost and spikes as it ramped up. It was only temporary so i wasnt worried. If you *must* use an EBC, as there really is no need for one, then get a EBC with a dual stage solenoid. They generally hold better and spike less than single's.

Ryan brand does mean a bit, some of the cheaper ones are shocking. They are a very basic part- but in my experience some of them aren't nearly as good as others. Turbosmart is good, as are those ones up on SAU all the time.
