sup people, i need help! my diff seems to be making alot of noise, it makes bog clunk noises but only when im driving and turning right when i reverse, turn left and break it doesnt make the noise (it sounds like its on the right side of the car too, but i could be wrong) the diff is a 25 spline, 3.45, single spinner it constantly does it and its cracking me up, i am suppose to take it to a diff center but i dont have the time [and just tonite i changed 'one' of the the wheel bearings] .. [noise has stopped, but now its doing the opposite, it clunks when i break/turn left and when i drive slow] has anyone experienced this? and if so do you no what the problem is? thanks! Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

Probably the wheel bearing (which sits on the base of the axle) is buggered... Take the axle out, have the old bearing taken off and a new one press fitted on...

yeah sounds like it could be the wheel bearing

Just go all out dude and get yourself a decent LSD diff. If you dont have the money just drive your car around until you smash your diff and save money to get a nice tight LSD.

if it was a rear wheel bearing would'nt it make alot of noise when driveing like an echoing drown and doing 100km/h it echos through the cabin like all hell, well that's what it did every time iv had to change them in the rear on my cars and yeah my mate had the same thing happen to his XR6 turbo 4 times so far made clunk noise around corners and in reverse, the diff was shagged.

I'm going to bet its one of your axles; the splines being really worn. I'd start over, and get yourself a new diff. $100 for drum, $150 for disc (both non-LSD). You're capable of putting one in yourself I take it?

hey mate that is definatly your spider gears inside the centre of your diff.....it would be the two that spin that have stripped. an easy fix would be to just to fit a spool which replaces the part that you broke or get a new diff this problem you have had has happened twice to me before..is your car twin spinning at the moment? Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

i was talkin to my dad .. and he told me he only put one bearing in .. on the RHS lol .. and now, its not making noise on that side. im waiting till i get paid so i can get another bearing kit, and fit it onto the LHS. (since i have changed the rhs bearing, the noise only happens while i brake/turn left/drive really slow and as soon as i take my foot off accelerator, and before it was opposite :S) could it be the center bearing? where the tailshaft bolts onto?
