Just get some secondhand strut bodies from a wrecker. Chances are even if you got the spring seats seperately there would be some kind of issue when welding them on to your existing strut bodies.

What exactly do you mean by spring seats?! The metal bit welded to the strut tube?

Na what im after is the rubber spring seat the big rubber that sits on top and bottom of the spring.. maybe spring seat isn the right name thats just what pedders calls the rear rubbers ( spring seats)

I swear nollothane make them! they might be listed as VK or VH but i've certainly seen a car with the typical nollothane-red coloured ones... if i'm wrong then maybe try whiteline?

Spring insulators is what I've always known them as. I didn't realise they were meant to be in the front too, mines never had them and no one said anything when they put the front springs on either. Pedders sell the rears so I'd assume they'd have fronts too, if they exist.

Na pedders dont do them i rang a few different stores and they all said the same thing they knew what i wanted but only had a listing for the rear Ive seen some with and some without them. mine has them in there now and the struts i got to rebuild had them so i thought id put some in no luck with whiteline either at least not in their online catalogue

Bugger.... I've just done my wagon suspension from end to end and they were about the only bits I reused as they were still in good nick... Someone must do them for a Commodore. I've seen them for a Torana in three different thicknesses although they are listed as HQ-HX parts... Just checked the Torana forum and SuperPro do HQ etc so maybeeeee... Ask for VB-VP as they may be listed under one and not the rest.

I reused the top ones as they were still good, but didn't know there were bottom ones as well. They must be a good compound rubber to withstand 20 years of dampening. Might be worth asking the Holden dealer as well. You would think Pedders and Noltech would have these wouldn't you.

There are definitely aftermarket ones available, I have a pair on my front struts that would have been bought new earlier this year. Don't know what brand though, as I didn't build the struts.

Strange....did they have them from factory then? It seems some people don't have em. My cars at the paint shop so I can't check, but the new struts that I'm putting in don't have them....I was wondering if they were supposed to
