got a genuine VLT auto rebuilt for my calais, standard rebuild nothing fancy at all, standard stall, no shift kit (they reckon they wouldnt give warranty) its not too bad in 1st, 2nd, 3rd (still feels like its slipping to a certain degree especially when you put your foot in it) but 4th (overdrive) is fu cking terrible, sitting in fourth on 110, squeeze the throttle and it just revs, barely engages at all, almost like its in neutral took it back to the wanker and told him to come for a drive with me to show him what its doing, he wouldnt, he told me to leave it and he will test it when he has the time. went back later that day and he said it was fine, nothing wrong with it... i explained the 4th gear scenario and he said he said it was normal and its just searching for a gear... bullsh!t, the N/A box i had in it still pulled like a train in 4th... he just doesnt want to pull it apart and build it properly obviously and is just giving me the bum steer... i need to get this car to Melbourne for a tune etc. an dont want to have it slipping on the dyno, i told him thats what i would be doing and he said "if you have any problems bring it back and ill look at it" pffft yeah, going to do a 7 hour round trip plus dyno time just to bring it back to him... so does anyone know what the problem would be? i want to have some ammunition when i go back to the prick... any help would be appreciated... (should have bought a KEAS ) Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

Have you got a list of parts used on the receipt? sounds like either the overdrive band is buggered or the servo that applies it or a valvebody fault or simply the band adjustment is wrong.

(should have bought a KEAS ) the auto is trying to kick down a gear when it starts to fail to do this it means its ****ting itself. my autos always did this when they were stuffed especially in D ie 3rd or 4th i went through 4 of the *** things and the kickdown dieing was always the sign it was going go and get him to fix it!! and dont take no for an answer! also just out of interest why did you get it rebuilt to standard if your car is modified? even if its rebuilt the standard gear will **** itself pretty soon Some original photos have not been recovered yet.
