This may be a stupid question but how do you open the oil cap?

I'm guessing its a friction fit, could do it by pressing fingers on it and turning, might be a bit difficult when it gets hot, or its one of those pop-offs, ie Press it down and it pops up, straightforward mechanism but I've never seen it on any rocker cover - only on industrial chemical equipment, nice idea though and yeah makes one want to polish engine each weekend Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

yer you just push down firm with the palm of your hand and start unscrewing it off... easy as!
