Hey guys i am going to have my tints stripped and i've made a few calls but the quotes i have been getting are crazy! Apparently i'm looking at $110-160 just to have my current tints removed (and the windows left clear- no new tints fitted). Surely there has to be better priced places out there? You can get a whole car tinted for like $220 at some joints can't you?

Me and a mate stripped his tint on his wagon it's easy as, we just used a blade, we got all the tint off and we didn't leave one single scratch or mark on his windows.

your better off using an old kettle, putting a hose in the spout and taping the button down, then steam up the tint and peel it off, give it ago jack, worst case you go to the tint shop with half the tint removed.

sounds like a good idea, would you still use a razor ryan? I don't wanna scratch up the windows. Thinking the rear one will be a biatch

nah if anything, a credit card, as it wont scratch but will still scrap moest off, but it should mostly peel off. if its sarts to get hard then just apply more steam Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

lol you know i'd rather do everything myself, i was just led to believe it was very hard to do without ruining the windows. If i can find the time i will definately do it the way you and Ryan have described Carl, it sounds about 300 times easier than i had been led to believe. And of course i'm going tintless lol, no other reason to be removing perfectly good tints haha

Yeah i had that horrid tint removed off my rear window a while back. Got it done by SolAce and they just made it all steamy and got it off, i didnt pay much attention but when i got back in the car she had a bit of condensation going on inside.

I went in Chris' car last week but it was wet (and you know Chris, he'd never get up it anyway aha) and the converter felt really solid, can't wait to see what time she reels off now hey Some original photos have not been recovered yet.
