P's driving in turbo cars?

I got my P's on July 3rd 2007. Which makes me effected by the new laws. It stated quite clear that NO turbo cars can be driven. I'm having a tough decision to buy a stock factory VL turbo. Under the law I will loose 3 demeret points and recieve a $1100 fine for driving a high powered vehicle. My cousin, who now is off his P's, used to drive around in a 300kw WRX. He never got in trouble with the police, even with a huge intercooler sticking out like dog balls in the front. So is it a bad idea to buy a turbo car on my P's? Legally I can't drive it for another 3 years. Who has their P's just drives around with a turbo or a V8. How often do police pull you over for an inspection? What if I keep the car stock as in rims, tyres, engine etc. Remove the turbo badge and drive responsibly. Arhh, I don't know what to do. The stock VL turbo is mint and I want it bad, but on the other hand, if I get caught. F***! Which brings me to another question, I'm sure it's been answered 100 times. Could I remove the factory VL turbo and drive around without having to spend money making it a non turbo? Or should I just forget about a VL and get somthing else? Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

Why not get a N/A VL 5 speed, until you can drive a VLT? They still go alright. Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

I had a VL Turbo and now a SS and have never been randomly pulled over. I reackon most of it depends on how you drive, like when I was hooning and driving in the bus lane, otherwise I've had no cop trouble. Just keep it looking clean.

Only because the only time a cop car ever see's him he's pulling a skid with stockies on the back. I never do burnouts. In front of policeman

i had never been pulled over in the 9 months i have had my car. then i got pulled over randomly 3 times in 1 week. And the cop said she pulled me over because i was driving a commodore that "stood" out. Tell me how a white over white VL on ceptors stands out over any other car. If you reckon this VL turbo is really mint and you have somewhere to store it then why not buy it and then just buy a run around car. in 3 years time a factory mint calais turbo would probably rise in value. But 1 thing is for certain drive a VL and you WILL definately get pulled over at some stage.
