Well as the title says Need to know if there is a "good" (now I mean good) single plane intake to suit VN heads that will fit under the bonnet in a VL.... Idealy an Edelbrock Torker is what we'd like but they do not make one for our application..... The motor is set to make 450-500 HP N.A. Any help would be good... we will not cut this car.. cheers Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

the redline hiwinder is a single plane that will fit under the bonnet easily, however it might not be classed as 'good' when compared to a harrop or a torque power single plane

I didn't think it'd be up to the Job... Has anyone managed to get a Single plane harrop under there?? by ie: milling it down and lowering the motor?

i made 235rwkw with a redline hiwinder and a 600DP but it wouldnt make power over 6000rpm. either it was the carb or the manifold. either way, i doubt you'd get 450hp out of one, unless you meant at the crank i'd be very interested to see if anyone has squeezed a harrop ot TP under the bonnet. i know people have done it with group A scoops, but for those of us who don't like bodykits, theres not much choice

maybe not conventionally.. but why not make a custom intake hat and feed it downwards (like an active setup) inside a nice big single throttle or something similar

I suggested to my brother a sheetmetal intake as I can get some nice ones done but he insisted against that idea.... Like I said If it meant me milling down the carby mounting surface and dropping the motor down some I'll take that challange! Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

my mate has a harrop single plane on his vn stroker with quad throttles under bonnet. Will post a pic up of it tomorrow, not the best airflow though.

EAT-30T, if your looking for 450-500hp max have you considered a TP hi-rise duel plane manifold? These can reportedly make up to 500hp and will fit under the bonnet.

Have a look at TUFFER's setup, he has a Torque power single plain with a custom enclosure (around quad-throttles) and an airbox (mounted behind the headlight).

Otherwise look at the COME racing manifold, that'll fit under the bonnet easy (bit more expensive however).
