Just a quick question guys and girls.. Will 5x7's fit in the factory 6'' holes on the parcel tray in VL's? Not particulary wanting to fit spacers for 6x9's or cut holes in the tray underneath. Keep in mind i'd be making a custom parcel tray out of mdf bout 14mm thick. Cheers, Scott.

for a start youd want the mdf about 17mm or 18mm at the least remember mate the bigger the betta lol also gives it that bit more bass i recently just had my parcel shelf custom made and it thumps without a sub... they will all thump just not as good... oh and another good trick to do and it looks smick is raise your speakers with wateva size mdf u use cut out the inside of the size u want and around the out side cut on a 45 degree angle thats wat i did to mine ill put up sum pics later on...

I dont like the look of the speakers raised at all, im actually gonna custom make a parcel tray so that the speakers are sunken if anything, and then hopefully cover them so you cant see them pretty much. I still havent planned it yet. Just deciding on what sort of speakers to shove in there.

Hrmm. Now that you show me how much clearence youve got there im gonna have to rip my back seat out and see if my old 6x9's fit... In my old VL i got a parcel tray off a mate and he had cut the holes already, which didnt match with the holes on the metal underneath..so we cut it. Not knowing it a defect. So ive always thought 6x9's wont fit in there.
