I cant comment on the RB20 but heard there gutless compared to the RB25 onwards engines but you can get some nice HP out of them still

compared to rb25/26's they are fairly gutless and are a complete waste of time fairly decent hpo has been had from them but you would have to put a fair bit more work ito a 20 to make it 500hp compared to chasing the same figure with a 25 or 26, correct me if im wrong hell even an rb30, theres that single cam favouritism comin out in me again Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

i had one in my vl with 3.45 gears and it was very very good on fuel, but it lacked torque. i converted back to rb30et.

i was going to mention tthe lack of torque but was just verifying with a mate today

so what would be better a rb30e with a stock turbo setup turbo injectors and ecu and a intercooler on low boost. or a rb20.

pretty close. but r32s run like 4.3 diff gears. 20s are ok if your not scared to rev them every one who i know with them revs the **** out of them, cos you have to... but they love it. but id convert thr RB30e to turbo. much better

Yeah its not mine lol, a mate thinks his vl is going to fly lol, its got a rb20 with a r33 turbo, a 48mm wastegate lol and 4.11's. Are gtrs lighter? the front panels and bonnet of a mates r33gtr weigh less than a bonnet off a vl lol

a VL Calais is not 1250, an SL N/A is 1250 from memory

Atmo Bt1 is right. An auto calais would be well over the 1300kg range and if its turbo then you can add even more weight onto that.

I have a RB20DET in my VH, it goes hard. Stock internals with a bit bigger turbo, 3" exhaust, a small FMIC and 4.11 gears. Weighs about 1200kg. My best 1/4 time is 12.90 @111MPH (2.0 60 foot) with worn out tyres. I reckon with a better clutch, tyres and launch I could get a 12.6. 8000rpm burnout: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=K94uLv0n4ZY Some original photos have not been recovered yet.
