Does no blow off valve effect the converter?

Hey guys, ive been whoring another thread a bit too much so thought I might start my own. I need to know if I can run the car without a BOV. I have just added a front mount and didn't wanna run my BOV anymore because of police interest. My concern is that the compressive surge will unbalance the converter and lean off the mixtures too much between gear changes. Short of buying a plumb back (which is still illegal) i dunno how else to do. has anyone had experiance on this, and is it safe to run no BOV with the gas converter? Cheers

i too have wondered this! might pay to call a few workshops, i would but i am work i think ther is gas added after the butterfly once the throttle is closed (like at idle and wat not) but duno how comrpessor surge would affect this Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

You should run a blow off valve in order to avoid throttle flutter also, this can exert undue stress on the throttle body as well as the components in the convertor. GasResearch supplies a butterfly type bypass valve which can be plumbed back and in virtually silent and offers high flow characteristics. Ideal for lpg applications. Thankyou for your enquiry. GRA told me to put one on, one day got sick of that blow off noise, so l removed it and it lost power, but it still ran prefect, put it back on power came back, now l have a plumback blow off valve.

i doubt u would need a BOV, i thought pauls GAS747 was like the dose king, in which he had no BOV, his car seems good and goes real quick. Some original photos have not been recovered yet.
