Hey guys ive got a vlt and ive been tossing up between petrol and gas for a while now and due to cost ive decided to go with gas. Im after a list of what gas parts to use and who to contact for information about this setup. "looks torwards gas747" At the end of the day i want a straight gas injection system for my vl turbo capable of 300rwkw. and have a limit of 5grand. cheers people

Also the goverment grant for converting to gas applies for straight gas conversions too. So you have 7k to blow Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

So what does it need i know nothing about lpg Quote: Originally Posted by sleepaBT1 Speak to Mick or Richie at Rapidflow in Hoppers crossing these guys know what there doin and deal in gas reasearch high performance straight gas systems as well, they just finished my VL its on straight gas also hoping to make around 300kws at the wheels. sounds good mate did you change your cam or anything else internally on the motor ? do u know if ur car runs 1 or 2 convertors ? Uve got a tank, lines, convertors, and a mixer. Compared to petrol u have a fuel cell, lines, pumps, surge tank, regulator, rail, injectors, plus u have to use a throttle body for air only (mixer incorporates a throttlebody and fuel supply in one).. $7k is PLENTY to get an absolutely awesome gas setup done, Id run a vapour injection setup and a GRA 440cfm t/b.. and have the vapour switching on when ur pushing more boost.

my cars just gone to a workshop for a strait gas conversion also, although its a 202 thers not much difrence in this situation. still the same parts n ****, tuning would be difrent i guess tho if you can get (and if u want to) the parts second hand ull save a bit, i got 2x B2 converters and a 480cfm t/b for $570 thru ebay, considering the t/b alone would be $500ish brand new i saved a bit lol. your correct with the gas injection setups atm, theyre limited in power, but its all a step in the right direction. the GRA gear does quite a good job anyway. the main problem people have had is geting enough gas to the converters. which has been achieved by either modifying the tank (or buying one already made for twin lines) to run twin gas lines. will be interesting to see how the 202 goes on gas will let yas know Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

But i can do all the labour myself so hopefully i can pull it off with 6grand completed keeping in mind id get the 2grand gas rebate dropping it to 4.fingers crossed Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

wont you have to run an ignition only ECU?

Yer i spoke to rajab racing and they reckon not to use a cdi and to go with the ice module and coil as they have had great improvements with it and know it works. aparantly the module is worth $363 and coil was like $160. And they also recomended using a cast plenum instead of an aluminium welded/polished type becuase of more pressure in the chamber and any imperfection in the weld could cause it to split. the conversion can definatly be done cheaper, but if ur chasing big numbers i wouldnt skimp too much on it lol
