hey guys, fitting pace maker extractors to a VS ecotec, everything went good untill trying to fit the oxy sensors, the holes on the extractors where the oxys screw in are further down, and the oxy sensor doesnt reach the hole cause the wire isnt long enough, if i cut the wire and extend it will it wreck the tune of the car? thanks.

are you sure you cannot just make the wire longer, by cutting back some of the plastic its in. or maybe there are some clips you can cut off that will make it longeR?

nah shouldnt make a difference to the tune at all, just cut it and extend the wire!!

unless the wiring is shielded then you may have a problem due to electrical noise.

I think you should contact them and ask what they done. I wouldn't like chopping up any part of my loom and extending it. It's dodgy. And just remember that solder is not the best electrical conductor out there. It's resistive so don't go splurging all out with soldering connections especially in a car loom. I just couldn't trust it.

if solder wasnt good anough at making an electrical connection then they would have come up with another way to connect circuits in just about everything you can think of. computers tv's mobile phones cameras the list goes on. you're just not doin it right Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

'sif man! Solder is a mix of tin/lead and it's not the best conductor out there. Depends how you solder, though. Whether you want to make sure it doesn't come off in the event of a tug-a-war or just for a nice, little secure connection. I'm sure copper would be used instead if it didn't have such a high melting point and I'm sure gold and silver would be used if it wasn't so expensive. Anyway, I couldnt give a rats. It works so thats the main thing. I'd just rather use a connector instead Some original photos have not been recovered yet.
