Engine specs full rebuilt bottom end machined balanced from westend in campbelltown has wiseco forged pistons 10thou over PAR billet rods moly rings etc has 3 layer cometic gasket with over half inch head bolts with massive head work custom exhaust manifold / dump pipe built by Leigh Extreme turbo manifolds and a CPC plenum by aerial off this site too comes, XF throttle body, siemens 870cc injectors, running an Autronic sm4 with a cdi 500r with evo coil packs all oil and water lines are braided car also has alloy PWR radiator and custom cooler gt42 rated at 900hp also known as T51R equivilent car has also been setup with a shot of nitrous to spool turbo on transbrake, has custom 1/2 inch feed and return lines for fuel with aeromotive fuel reg nissan r31 mitsubishi CAS , new brake booster, custom oil sump with baffles and trap doors to stop oil rushing to back of motor. Gearbox powerglide built by Fred from protrans rated at 1100hp comes with scatter shield braided lines to a b and m trans cooler with thermo fan does have transbrake and 3500 stall comvertor with mech diode also has tailshaft loop diff Ford 9 inch diff with 31 spline axles minispooled with 3.9 gears in rear suspension koni adjustables all round for dampness and pedders front and rear stabilizer bars also rear upper and lower controller arms have been boxed in to support it so they dont bend at the creek Brakes VT front discs and calipers in braided lines and standard rears Interior/Boot interior comes with full calais interior and front seats are scheel seats retrimmed to look like calais seats custom autometer dash full 6 point chromoly ANDRA approved cage 5 point harness and b and m pro stick shifter fuse box is relocated under the dash, boot setup involves 60L fuel cell running into a holley blue pump which feeds a 3L surge tank and then into two bosch 044 pumps pumping into 1/2inch lines also battery relocated into boot space and nos bottle also there and boot has been sealed from interior of car. Exterior car comes with FR19 inch simmons with new rubber only ever done 200kms on tyres also comes with chaser front runners and 28x9 slicks (new) car was painted a little over 2 years ago and got all rust cut oout and replaced had the whole car blasted before respray.. This car is making a 350rwhp on street tune unleaded nicely reliably as doesnt brreak traction on street and 485rwhp on c16 reliably for the track and has done a 10.3 @131mph and last meet done 10.5 @ 132 with wheel spin first gear this was on 26 x 8.5 slicks car car is currently going under to get a bigger cam put in it to make more pwoer out of it as the current cam in the car is for a gt35/40r not for the gt42 The car is Andra teched meaning its is approved for safety to be raced at eastern creek day in day out to either run 10s or 9s with only been told with the new cam wouldnt have a problem to run a purchase of a drag racing license a low 9 with it the current setup of the car should run a 9.9 with the 28x9 slicks i been told I will add the car is a genuine BT1 vl turbo but wierd enough was originally a metallic blue and was a Detectives car as i am the third owner and i bought it from a mate who had it for a year and he bought it off the officer who had it in the police force and then bought it off them and kept it for 15 years i might add there is 4k in braided lines and fittings Asking Price: $40000 call me on [phone removed] if you are a genuine potential buyer Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

i got 100k in reciepts but would not sell for 20k its not worth it complete car 35 - 40k otherwise i would strip it would cost people alot more than 100k to build this alot of the work on the car (except long motor and gearbox and panel beating/ painting ) was done by me and a mate and took extra care and time on it

hey mate my car is the same.i own bybye have a look at it on carsales(better pics)my car has had close to 100k spent and im struggling to get 20k for it and its immaculate ready to go 9s and has done 10.1 im thinkn *** it ill keep it.its funny tho youd think out of the thousands of vl lovers on this site and i think there are tens of thousands that sum 1 would pay 20-25k for yours and mine.found extra money for house renno anyway so im sorta glad it didnt sell as im sure with such a weapon your self you to would be in two minds(should i buy or sell)good luck mate sorry to invade also does anyone know if you can run at the test and tune with no cage harness etc

I think everyone here is being negative and unhelpful, my friend John(304CID) sold his calais for 21g, and it was a NA Calais-turbo convert, had a stock bottom end NA engine rebuilt with a few bolt ons, and 1/10th of the stuff of this car, (no disrespect john, clean car, purely talking perspective) its all a matter of waiting for the right buyer, and when someone who loves everything about it comes along and see's the potential, they'll snap it up!! I'd personally pay over well over 30 for it. Good luck with the sale, and dont listen to all the wankers talkin it down, if your in no rush, take your time and you'll get every cent you want for it. 6BOOST

I think 20 - 23 for this car is an insult...offers should come in the 30 - 35 mark...it is wierd that ppl dont want to fork out 30 - 40 K once off but will spend double that in two years on a car with all the headaches involved in building a 9/10 sec car...but anyways good luck with the car 'very nice' (borat!)

the only problem i see is that there only a few people out there with that sort of coin that would want to purchase a vl of this calibre. Like said before just be patient well worth the price tag! goodluck

I think the general consensus is this 1- wait for the right buyer (enthusiast, or sum dum rich knob who will chicken wing it into a pole 2- General car enthusiast/builders WONT pay 40g and I doubt ever will because, cars like this are unrealiable for street purposes and cost $$$ to maintain. 3- Most people would love to own this car but couldnt justify paying 25-40g for a vl turbo as they can go buy a monaro, gts, clubby etc etc that with a bit of minor would run a low 11 etc. My opinion is strip it, like was done with PANNIC, sell the shell, motor, box, diff, and try and get as close to what you want that way. LOVE THE CAR!!

thanks for the feedback guys but i am not desperate to sell the car so if i dont get what i want it stays in my hands i drive this car once a month and if i ever go to the track.... one thing with this car is i dont drive it on full power i drive it on a mild 350rwhp which is pleasurable to drive on the street as it doesnt break traction on that power i built this car for reliability too but if i get desperate i might end up stripping but at the momment if no ones wants to finish what i started i will keep it and do a tune for a low 9 sec pass i want to see this car well into the low 9s and be consistent which is what its built for and i will do that if no one else wants too before i sell up

hehe man i just got the cam and if i have to put it in will go for the 9 definitly on the 22 july should be the day the car becomes a 9 sec car and i will try get it out and be consistent
