Ok guys i have a fews questions that i need answers to so if you could help me out great.
I have 2 alpine typr r's (the 300rms ones, 4ohms+4ohms) and they are dual voice coil. I am using a rockford fosgate 250.2 punch amp to run them. I have them bridged of the amp but dont know if i have them setup in parallel or series as i cant see how the wires go in the sealed box? The amp specs say it puts out 250rmsx1 mono, both channels driven into a 4ohm load. It also says its stable into 4ohm bridged.
1) Can someone explain how the subs are setup (parallel or series) and therefore what ohms the amp is seeing and why as its confusing me?
2) Could someone explain to me how the dual voice coils work as compared to single voice coils? Whats the advantage? Do you just treat them as 4 speakers when hooking them up in parallel or series as there is 4 voice coils so to speak?
3) What possible ways could i hook these subs up if i get a bigger amp. Im thinking of getting a soundstream picasso of ebay for $349 and that puts out 760rms at 4ohm mono. Do i just hook them up in parralel?
4) Thanks
