Ok I have a rebuilt motor thats been balanced and has liquid forgies and a mild cam. I boosted it but am a little unsure of whether it is behaving properly or if I have a problem. It is a manual and runs a recoed T03 foot to the floor in second boosts to 14 psi quickly then slowly drops away and by the time I am red lining I am down to 7 psi yet in 3rd gear it seems to hold much better but still dropping to around 11 psi is that just normal with a bleed valve? what can I do to solve with problem??

Well i wound the Boost controller down a bit. seems to hit roughly the same boost but holds much better but still seem to loose a fair bit as i climb through the revs.

Try getting a boost controller, not a bleed valve type though. turbotech ones, as sold on ebay for about $29 plus postage, Fast 4s did a writeup on them, and the guys on the skyline forums love em to death, aparently cure spike problems, Hold PSI like a rock and bring boost on quicker as well, Im getting one, saw your plight, should only take 15 minues to install too, couldnt be simpler, cut the actuator vaccum line and attach to the controller. Let me know if you get one and how it went, I would almost guarentee it will not only solve your problem, but leave a great big smile on your face from the better boost response at lower RPM. steve.
