i like the relatively controlled enviroment comment. it was poorly organised in terms of safety. who would be stupid enough of lettling a massivly hp'd car do a run down a main road with safety barriers only covering part of the road. *waits to see what a current affair will say when they liken this to aussie roads/drivers*

Maybe it was driver/mechanical/officials error, maybe something else, don't jump to conclusions. surely you can also understand that therefore there is enormous potential for the same,or worse, whether a similar event here is organised or illegal Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

well according to the article there was no safety guard rails half way down the road. so using my super powers (because appraently i was there ) of deduction that you can conclude that the event had poor safety regulations. at the end of the day an organised event or not there is always a risk of someone getting injured unless the proper safety precautions are put in place. its common sense not rocket sciene. oh and the edit was for spelling Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

i cant see how that is related to doing burnouts etc on the street have a look at the car and where it was, its a missile surrouned by people i wouldnt call and vl commodore doing burnouts in an industrial estate anywhere as dangerous.

Not really relevant to 'street cars' IMO, it was an organised event with massive crowds of people lining the streets... That there is just pure stupidity, 1000hp+ car on a Public road with no guard rails? WTF? I think it does say something for laws around bonnet scoops and exposed components....can only imagine the carnage that thing caused to the victims....

This will come as no surprise but it's on the tube already http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FvjHEgo8I10 (it's pretty intense)

hmm no guard rails there. that is the most blatant case of stupidity. even the knee high barriers would have at least kept the car on the road somewhat.

Read it man. Was an exhibition on a PUBLIC HIGHWAY! No charges are being looked at for the driver. Organisers should be charged with murder. Full stop.

It's strange that both Bray and the drivers father say that he was an extremely safety concious person, yet going by that video tape, why would he perform such a thing with so many people there with little to no protection? Poor people, and driver. Condolences.
