Does anyone know that the problem is in my rb30et, my catchcan fills up badly with oil n it seems to be greyish instead normal oil colour and the water level keeps dropping in the radiator. anyone know whats the cause of this?

blown head gasket my first guess water from you radiator is getting it to your oil makeing it turn gray

dude not good! the greyish stuff sounds like water. from experience... i would say you have cracked a gasket, head or possibly the block. water mixes with the oil, the crack means the water is being pressureised more, which mixes it all up, hence why you are loosing water in the radiator, it is getting pressureised and pushed into the catchcan + oil lines. best to get this checked asap, hopefully its only a gasket or head dude, but i managed to crack the block on my 186, see i didnt know what had happened at first so added water to the radiator which made the problem worse, (cold water in hot engine) it got o the stage where i blew out all my radiator patches! thats what pressurizing the water lines does.

Yea i think the gasket is gone, its all over my catch can n engine bay. I must of boosted too high n broke the piston rings as well, if that much oil goes into my catch can. Might as well drop my other engine in and do a full rebuild (forgie etc). Do you do machining (bore etc)?

hey guys, CHEME-WELD works fine in my engine, water level is not dropping. I just drive it around as slow as i can, try to not put it into boost. Should finish my spare rb30 full rebuild with forgies, cam etc in the next few weeks.
