Attended the Winternats at Willowbank Ipswich on Saturday 9th June. Came back to the secured carpark to find my walky had gone walk-about. Had gear lock and immobiliser but obviously was not sufficient. Reported to the police but I suppose they are a little limited as to what they can do. Pros are good at their job I suspect. Anyway be aware if parts come onto the market in a hurry. Not sure what else they can do with it!! Any clues would be welcome.

That's bad news mate, good luck with recovery of the car...although with the lengths they've gone to to steal the car it doesn't sound like you're going to get it back.

That sucks mate, my car was parked in the same "secured carpark" last night.
Car thieves belong at the bottom of the ocean, with a Ford block tied around their ankles.

11-06-07, 09:18 GMT+10#12 Mate-you must be gutted, nothing worse than coming back to your pride&joy to find that its gone missing.Hope Shannons look after you and the payout figure is better than redbooks market value.Had a mate go through the same as you a couple of years ago-drove his VN Group A from QLD to Bathurst and left it in the carpark only to return after the Tooheys 1000 to find it missing.Only good thing to come out of it was that Holden won the race.

11-06-07, 10:42 GMT+10#15 Or hook up something from your local **** Smith store along the lines off when someone tires to touch your unattended car they receive a nice electric jolt.People laugh at one of my anti-theft devices, when i park one of my cars somewhere i turn it full lock and then use a high tensile chain(heat shrinked)plus padlock and hook it around the steering wheel to brake pedal. Hopefully slow them down when they try to pull it on to a tilt tray.
