Hello, I have been dying to get that "Dose" sound on many VL's and was just wondering is it just as simple a putting a straight pipe from the turbo wheel out If thats the case then wont a turbo flange/mouth adapter do it? Is the sound not caused from compressor surge? I mean it sounds awesome but i have heard too many stories/myths of it killing your turbo? I have a new GT3540 and dont want to stuff it up so any advise will be helpfull. I want that sound but if its at the cost of killing my turbo and my block chewing pieces from the wheel then no thanks. Please help.... Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

Before this thread gets deleted... Dose pipes hurt many turbo applications because people run an unfiltered pipe off the front of it. As DEVL said, this maximises 5ic****ness but minimises turbo life. In short, most people on here will tell you not to run one.
