Well, I was in an accident today involving a caravan and a VT commy. I was on the main road heading down the street for some lunch with my girlfriend until this ****smoke decided he wanted to turn into his house without indicators on. He turned left from the rightmost lane blocking the entire width of the road with both his caravan and car. I only just saw this in the last instant and had no where to go. As you could imagine, I hopped out wanting to kill everything around me. He couldnt talk to me as he probably thought i would have knocked him one at the time. I'm yet to hear the verdict of it all plus details on the damage, but from what I could see from my car the k-frame is bent, front cowl might be bent (not to sure on that), rim is gone, radiator support, control arms, and all front panels. I love this car so much and I just cant let it go. It's my pride and joy. The repair bill will kill me and you might call me silly for fixing up a commodore, rather then buying a calais or something, but I just cant let it go. Its such a waste to me. Too much time went into this car to get it the way it is. All in all, I'm so glad me and my girlfriend weren't injured. The guilt of having your mrs next to you in a crash is beyond terrible. Thanks Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

hey mate, sorry to hear, i know the exact kind of driver, by the sounds of it you should be fine and he will have to foot the bill, if he didnt have a go at you that shows he knows it's his fault. Ps what camera do you have? Those pics are ****ing clear as!

Your car looked very nice before. If you get it repaired, slap a calais front on it at the same time. Unlucky about the crash, but at least you and your gf are ok.

hey mate, looks similar as what happened to my car. get it fixed or u will regret it, especially if it's your pride and joy. also, add a calais front, will make it look way better. Before After Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

Thanks fellas. Stilll pretty shocked and I'm starting to really miss my car now. I just loved this car too much. I found out the strut tower has been bent which doesn't look good for me and thankfully the cowl isn't bent. I'm yet to hear from the police and the panel beaters, but will let you guys know how it turns out. My plans are to fix it up back to it's prime with calais front, side moulds and skirts. It already has S1 interior, black window frames and calais back so I thought I might as well, but no use talking so early i suppose. If things go my way, I'm laughing with insurance. If not, then a lot of saving up will need to be done. I don't care how long it takes to fix this car, I just want it fixed. ATMO - It's a 5.1 sony cybershot. Pretty good camera I reckon. da s man - I was just going with the flow of traffic. I just didn't see this coming. It was in the newspaper today and the bloke admitted to not seeing me at all which puts things in my favour a little more. The newspaper didn't give a **** about my car. They were just concerned with his "dream" caravan and the countless memories lost. PHATVL - What was damaged structually on your car? Good inspirational pic!

You can understand the newspaper not giving a rat's, but in the end a caravan is a caravan. You never hear people talking about their first caravan, their favourite caravan and how mad that caravan you saw on the hume the other day was. Pity about your car mate, hope you get what's coming to you.
