IM NOT TRYING TO PICK A FIGHT SO DONT DELETE THIS!!!!!!!!!!
I noticed that on billy rajabs car the fuel pressure regulator was the standerd NA reg and they seem to be using the stock fuel lines,
I would assume that to feed those 2 gt35/40s you would have to supply it with a fair bit of fuel.
My question is on the website it says the car makes the same power as the race car so you would think its making some serious power.
Do you guys use the standerd return line and just a bigger feed line and if so do you have any dramas with fuel pressure and how does the standerd NA fuel reg handle boost and fuel pressure
Or is the car in question just a trailor queen and youve sorta skimped on the fuel system.
From the latest photo shoot.
Photo from the web site.
Info on bills car.
Im not trying to offend anyone just want to know because once i get my car back from the painters i have to run the fuel lines but if i dont have to i wont.
cheers peter

maybe there is no need to run such big fuel lines with like 2 7-800hp fuel pumps who knows.
obviously they know what there doing there the fastest in the country.
Also why do you want to copy people for you said they were hacks and dodgey in another topic now you want to do what there doing.

Ok for one thats the most stupidest thing ive ever heard if you run a line to small it will be sucked dry and all your going todo buy having 2 massive pumps is increase the pressure in the line due to the size of the hose or pipe used.
its like having a 3inch tip on your exhaust all its gonna do is make it sound louder the rest of the system is still 2inch theres no increase in flow.
The idea of bigger lines is to increase FLOW to the injectors not pressure.
I want to know there views and experience on the subject not you dreamer views.
unless you have somthing to say that can help me please dont comment cause im sick of all you workshop goons so shut the **** up.

Pressure itself plays a big part.. Alot of people simply over engineer there cars fuel system and run lines that are way more than big enough.
Just take alook at alot of newer cars the amount of power they make on stock lines with just upgraded Reg and injectors is insane.
PS: everyone is a workshop goon if they dont answer your question to a T? or Maybe your just a cranky focker.

24-05-07, 01:49 GMT+10#10 there was no need for that ps.
I'd say at the time of photography maybe the reg they used had failed and the n/a one was a temporary subsitute. Who knows, PNP it's up to you to find out for us! haha

24-05-07, 01:54 GMT+10#11 And i know pressure plays a big part of it but you can only flow so much thru the standerd line thats why they make bigger pipes and smaller pipes.
But thats why i asked about the NA fuel reg cause my i have a mate that was asking me about them but if you guys are making bulk power with an NA fuel reg why change why as you said over engineer the fuel system
and jack that photo that i put up that cam from there web site has been up for a very long time and it clearly shows the standerd fuel line going to the same position as the first picture

24-05-07, 06:14 GMT+10#12 i dont know much about this car cause its not on my list of things to do but isnt this car used for dyno comps?
what power has it made in say an autosalon?
maybe they just changed(fuel line, reg) it for the shooot just for looks(top secret stuff),its a great engine bay for those who think harlequin is the ****,well done to billy rajab on producing a nice piece of machinery.
why not take it down the quarter to see what numbers it pulls, platnm is in the same boat and that ran a 10.1 many many years ago and still see a show from time to time.
before hsvque jumps and screams about my comments,no cheap shots are taken,a valid question was asked and should be answered, the funny thing is 2 pics were shown and explained and i still have no idea what im looking at,lol
ill stick to stevedoring and my social life, good day.

24-05-07, 06:55 GMT+10#13 I have just seen these pics for the first time....and the car looks the goods - no doubt about it...but I would of love to seen proper fuel fittings used instead of clamp and rubber hose....just seems to short change a car of this caliber!

24-05-07, 07:49 GMT+10#14 DeVL i always ran Standard Fuel Lines on my car and were Neva a problem!! Rob i dont think Billy has anything to prove, i wouldnt Race that car if i had it either, Racing Just wrecks cars, so i suppose thats why they have a Dedicated Race car.

24-05-07, 07:51 GMT+10#15 the car has been on the dyno when it was first finished but no huge numbers where put out only like 1-200rwkw this was done so it could compete doe god of auto salon i have not seen this car on the dyno since and this was a few years ago.

24-05-07, 09:22 GMT+10#16 to answer everyones questions, the car uses a -10 braided fuel line from the pumps to the fuel rail. Coming out of the fuel rail it then goes into the n/a fuel reg which regulates sufficient fuel pressure to generate the power we have. If you look carefully, Roger's BT1 ran 9.50 @ 144 with factory fuel lines, both pressure & return. On a final note the racecar has a similar setup but its adjustable to turn fuel pressure down.
The guys have done heaps of R&D on this and the results are positive. Hope this helps.
