hey guys, i got my license back on the 19th of may, so, with a newly registered canary yellow vlt, i decided on the 18th, wait till midnight, then go for a cruise.. i picked up all the boys, and off we went... went dows somerton road, and wanted to turn right onto the hume highway, got to the lights, and there is a vlt calais on the lights, so i thought here we go... we took off normal, then he punched it down the hume highway, opposeit ford, i geared down and blew his doors, i looked to my left, and there were cops with the spped gun... so i slowed down, and about ten minutes later sure enough the cop was behind me, pulled me over, took my keys, and IMPOUNDED the car, he clocked me on 143kph in an 80kph zone... i am friken burning, since it is my first offence, and i have no other speedin record, what do u guys think, from experience my punishment will be????? i know thaton monday(2mrw) i can pick up my car, at a cost of $328.50.. but i am just stressing over the punishment, really need some info........

You just got your licence back therefore that means this is not your first offence!!! Got a feeling it would be at least 12 months loss of licence and a nice hefty fine

sorry to hear mate, it's easy to talk big on the forum saying to be sensible and ****, but we all know what it's like when you run into another vlt on the street.. so much temptation, get's the best of many of us..

Anything up until and including 29km/h over is 3 points, fine varies between being over or under 15km/h but points are the same. Once you hit 30km/h over up here it's 3 month instant suspension, 6 month for 45 over i think
