Just had my VL broken into for the second time, last time had over $1000 worth of sound system and cd's stolen, this time they couldn't get my cd player out and I didn't end up replacing most of the other stuff. But the b******s stole my face plate that was locked in my not so secure glovebox as it would seem. They also made away with my car instruction manual (wtf) and they did something to my steering ignition column, they twisted it, somehow at the same time pulling it out so when you turn the key it doesn't go far enough to kick the starter motor, all you get is the reds. I have figured out a way to start it but how annoying, now I have to buy another head deck and replace my locks... again

Man that bull****, I got my boot cleaned out at tech last week stole speakers spare parts etc. in regards to your deck, if you know the model number etc im pretty sure you can just order a new face plate from any decent audio store. Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

Thats what i thought, but the guys at JB said Sony don't sell faceplates cos that would screw up the point of having a detachable face in the first place
