As the title says, is this possible? I have bought a centre that is supposed to be this combination, but I have searched and it doesn't seem to exist. It is definitely 28 spline but I'm not sure what the "Pinion" count refers to. How do I tell? This is the LSD alongside a pintara centre, and a ford 2.77 centre Anyone know what these numbers mean? Any info is greatly appreciated Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

A 4 pinion looks like this, its not a LSD but it shows the 4 pin(well there are only 3 really) Older Valiants ran a 2 pinion 28 spline diff Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

So maybe it's a valiant type? Still suitable I hope... I can't access that link for some reason...*Edit* Got it. it's those round things on the side yeah? What do you make of the centre on the left?

If the LSD with the 0580 Part # is only 2 Pinion (it appears to only have one cross shaft in it) it would be from a model 78 BA Ford diff...... look on the top of it the part number should be 0578 ________

Thanks. A BA centre should still fit a VL housing though right? Do you mean the VL centres should start with 0578?

The part #'s on the top portion can be either 0578 or 0576 just not 0580 (all the late production lower halves have the 0580 part # it is the top one that you have to look at)

Some original photos have not been recovered yet.
