just put water in the barracades and have pass outs next year. Couldnt even go out to your car unless you wanted to pay twice...

or if water restrictions are to harsh, fill the barracades with sand or dirt or something lol some type of seating for the burnout track would be awesome aswell.

There was water in all barriers along the burnout track and at the start and on the s bend every secound one was full and secured to the empty ones as per Australian guide lines. This year barriers will hopefully be armco. Why not pack a fold up chair for your seating? Pass outs were avalible if you gave the gate people a good excuse you were allowed to go and come back in,this was not advertised and wont be. Its in place for a reason

Its in place for a reason what kind of attitude is that? i can understand a 'pass out' being a bit iffy incase they were to just pass it onto someone else?, but why not a hand stamp.. if i was going to pay to go to an event like this.. but wanted to say go get kfc/subway for lunch or go meet someone... and then come back whats wrong with that? People shouldnt have to justify their freedom, if they paid, they paid.. no 'excuse' needed to go and come as they please. something like this relies on happy entrants and spectators to turn into something big.

Remember this is for day passes only, weekend passes do allow you to come and go as you please all weekend of Autofest. The main reason we police day passouts is because of the alcohol rules we have, again Les instructs all of the gate attendants to use common sense, such if you or a family want to go out and get some kfc or need some thing from home that you forgot to bring etc etc. We just dont want people thinking, lets go out for a drink down the pub and come back latter as we all know this is when trouble can start. We have used the same guide lines at Springnats for the last 15 years and have very little drama`s. Its not attitude its just policing the show.

That is a lie. There was not one drop of water in those barriers on the S bend and on the river side there were just wooden posts! The track was covered in rocks and I was showered in rocks everytime a car went through. Your telling me you honestly think that is was safe? Would you let your kids sit on that corner. http://www.modifiedcarforums.com/mcf...serialNumber=2 (http://www.modifiedcarforums.com/mcfgallerys/main.php?g2_view=core.DownloadItem&g2_itemId=25444&g2_serialNumber=2) only pic i could find but it must of been sunday because on saturday there were heaps of people sitting (!!!) on that wooden fence.

I think its time to get over the 2007 show and lets work on getting 2008 right

i dont think u would even see over the barriers if u were to use a deck chair. you asked for improvement so we are just giving ideas. maybe look at hiring some type of tiered seating scaffold type of thing for the dirt side of the track.

ok aslong as your aware of that instead of ignoring the issue... I wont be there next year anyway so it doesnt bother me. Crickets on, thats going to hurt your crowds.

Thanks for the heads up on seating and all the reply`s.The seat has always been an issue at our shows as we run our shows at venues whre car events and or crowds dont normally go. See seating such as scafold type setups are clasified by insurers as tempary structures and most wont issue a public liablity policy because of this and thats why we will hopefully have a spectator mound like what we have also at DECA so you will be able to bring a deck chair and be high anough to sit and see over the barriers. The Cricket is on every Australia Day Weekend and we realise this and were suprised that it didn`t seem to hurt to much this year.
