Hey I just been offered a VR GTS Motor 5.7L 215kw holden engine and 6 speed t56 gearbox all complete loom computer etc all std good running cond what would it be worth.

Id think as much as 4k, maybe 4500 if in good nick.

this is the stroker motor with the harrop crank as standard!! The crank alone from harrop last time I checked was near $2K

Yeah I was thinking $6000 as the they are are to come by be hard to build it for that $3000 box with everything and $3000 motor is a good price I think $4500 be lucky to get you a 5L with a T5 I would have thought.

I built a 355 to those the 215kw engine specs a while back and it cost me $6,500 and thats with me blueprinting it. If you get it for $6k that is a bargin. P.s. - I will buy the box off you straight away :-)

well u could get a ls1 with box for 6k I recon.. so the ole 215i's have to be less than that.

Ive never seen a t56 for under $3000.

i have. no way i would pay 6k, $4500 tops. And dont compare the Holden/Harrop cranks to the proper production harrop cranks.

Its a totally different story in NZ though. 215 Engines are rare and so are the T56, so they fetch higher prices.
