]Hey dudes new on this forum but hope to contribute and help u guys at if i can, and give you a glimpse of my own project vh.
First up its an 81 sle, got it a bit more than a yr ago with **** paint and interior and body (bad start i know) engine diff and gearbox were really solid tho. drove it for a year and did bits n pieces, got new seats, dark blue velour, fixed some leaks and thats it.
Started strippin it around chrissy time and sent it off to the body shop. sold off the drivetrain and bought and injcto 5l. also bought a solid reco turbo 350. more specs later. had body all cleaned up and straightend, deleted door locks (except driver) and also aerial hole. engine bay was also smoothed a bit. The colour i chose is called radiant ebony.
Specs:
injecto 5l
crane 286
crane anti pump up lifters
Stiff valve springs
heads shaved 40thou
stocky bottom end rebuild
bigger tb
turbo 350
race prep 3/4 manulised
3000 converter
diff to be 3.9:1 lsd
all wiring to be done by me also

Looks grouse - I've always had a soft spot for VH's... mate of mine got an '84 for his first car. 253 with exhaust, extractors, mild cam, aussie 4 speed and possibly a bit of headwork. Got up and boogied when it had to.
