yeah i seen that on a trashy current afairs show. the detectives actually used a calais parked at a train station and they nabbed about 6 guys in a day

ive also seen this, the were saying how easy it was to steal a WRX, left it in a factory carpark for the weekend, no interest, moved it to a train sation and left it unlocked, still no interest. No one wanted a WRX.

A stock Japanese spec STI WRX (V7-V10) would murder most modified VLT on this site I’m not talking about the 10sec VL’s so don’t state those as comparisons

I think you actually need to drive a WRX, then see if you call them POS. I think you just cant face the fact that Wrxs are faster, better looking, and they would eat a s13 around a track. get over it buddy.

Vls are 86-88 model (family)cars and wrx's are 98+ sports awd's. And the price you would purchase a wrx for im sure you could pick up a 10 second vl. my 2 cents (btw this post is not meant to offend anyone) Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

OR replace the whole motor n then re build that one 6 months later the internal parts on wrx maybe high performance but the longevity of the parts are minimal...... I THINK THE VLT's WIN

I THINK THE VLT's WIN they have the gearboxes rebuilt.. not engines.. the engines are strong as.. And the reason they get the gearboxes done is because they do 5000k clutch dumps to take off like a rocket and after a few times the gearbox gives out, and other times the engine.. Thrash the **** of a VLturbo everyday, or any car for that matter and see what happens. And what are you saying no vl turbo drivers have had their motor ****ed or rebuilt? i know plenty of guys that have had their engines rebuilt, but you would expect it as most of the engines are 20years old and running the same gaskets and pistons. vl turbos are good for is straight line performance such as drags.. wrx's are an all rounder car, looks, speed, handling, all in one package. Anyone that says 'wrxs are a piece of ****' obviously has never driven one. These two cars shouldn't be compared, they are in a different league, at the end of the day id take my wrx over a vlturbo anyday thats just my opinion, ive driven both cars and i know what id be keeping.

My mate spent heaps on his too and stroked it out to 2.2ltrs, went through 5 gearboxes, then sold it. Should have just bought a 'dogbox' instead. Apparently, so I'm told by Subaru enthusiast, if left standard, they will last for over 250000kms. I have driven one, and I love em. I would drive one any day of the week if it wasn't for the insurance. They are just not built to withhold the amount of abuse that our vls can take. For what they are, I think they represent excellent "bang for buck". Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

Each of those cars are awesome bang for your buck, and great in their own right; VLt for drag; You can pull some quick times on a budget S13 is the weapon of choice for drifting for a reason And you would struggle to find a better value for money circuit car than a wrx. That said, back o.t; what grounds would you have if you caught someone stealing your car. can all you legally do is call the police and wait for them to arrive, can you apprehend someone once they are physically starting to break in to your car? take photographic/video evidence? Personally, if i found someone doing it. They would encounter a swift pole to the back of the jaw, bound and gagged, put in the boot and driven to a part of the state with very different visual scenery. Drop them off in some thick scrub/desert/mountain/isolated beach etc, and leave them there. What can you do though? without getting litigated?
