hey guys ive got a 28 spline lsd diff from vlt. its "blown". this is apparently wat happens.. every couple of secs it makes a clunk. i thought it might be the diff gears (main gear and the pinion) obviously it seems to me that the teeth are damaged. so, does anyone know the costs of a rebuild or fix and or, if the main gear is the only problem, could i use non lsd parts to fix it? (ide say so..) ill try and pull it apart this weekend and find out for sure. Carlos

depends on what you actually ****ed in it. If the actual LSD is fine and u just stripped the gears. u can get them off anything BW

hahaha... love it... I'd just be taking off the diff cover and a having as look in there to see what you can find... Spin the wheels (car sitting on jack stands) and watch the teeth on the crown wheen to see if there are any chunks look in the oil to see any bits of metal fileings Otherwise just pull the whole centre out and inspect it and/or take it to a diff shop.
