Has anyone registered a heavily modified vlt for the first time (my vehicle is out of reg) My new setup is almost complete and nearly time to get it registered. Has anyone here registered a heavily modified straight gas vlt. The most visible thing in the engine bay is a top mount gt3540 and custom plenum. Its pretty much this setup minus the injectors I dont wanna spray my engine bay till just before i drop my new motor in Ive got a stock na motor sitting in the bay to register the car. But if i can get it registered with my new motor i would be wraped. Any help would be appreciated Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

how long has it been outta reg? if its no more than 3 months im pretty sure u can still pay it if not then you go through pits i'd love to see the guys face when he opens the bonnet to see a top mounted 35/40 im pretty sure you'll need an engineers cert mate i'd rego it with the na in it just to be on the safe side cbf takin engines out all the time

you have no emissions stuff hooked up which probably shouldnt be a problem cos your on gas but they may want to check it. you need an air filter on it for RWC as it is a spark arrestor

this is the truth bout emissions testing your car needs to retain all and i mean all factory **** when u rock up at epa they dont test any emissions all they do is check it is all factory boost manifold turbo etc etc you can run gas as long as your setup is factory if u want to run your plenums etc you have to get the test done to prove it complies with the stands back in the year the car was made at $2500 a pop i wouldn't wanna fail just shield everything have your engine number ready and try make the bay look stock as possible

^^^^^I second that all I believe its Adr 27a your car must retain all factory pollution gear. Plenums are a no no too mate. You said you had the stock one in at the moment why risk it. Good luck

i heard that epa is much more leanient towards straight gas setup's but still i wouldnt take the risk

i heard it was pretty much a green tick, and that lpg vehicles put out such low emissions in comparison that they are far easier to get through an emissions test, even when modified?

still has to retain anything that was fitted to the car
