hey guys. last night, got into my VL and iv put it into (R) And nuffin Happend ?? im Thinking it my my trans flu, nope that was all gd, check all my oils everthing fine. go to to put it into gear. . Nuffin happens. its jst Revver out. . Im thinkin my gear box might be gone. so i get out push my car out of the drive way. . Put into drive, and works fine?. . Now at this point im thinkin. . How can that be right? my (R) wont go bac But When i put it in (D) works fine ??? any ideas ???

hey wilko 16, yea it does, and then it just grabs. . i pick up a new box, puttin that in this w/e so we should be rite, but still would like to knw wats up with it ay. . .
Its the linkages on the gear stick, look under your car on the passengers side i think... there is a bolt with a bar coming off it, just needs to be adjusted to make the gear selector go to the right spot
I will get a photo which will make things alot easier
Also if your VL is a an 1986 or some 1987's Its cable selected gear stick and the cable can stretch, look in the technical section there is a good write up about upgrading them
Ok kewl kewl, yea my Box has been playin up so iv got the new one there now.. so il put her in and see how we go. . Yea my gear box was really leakin oil. . I think im better off just puttin in this new gear box ay. . But thanks you anyway Wilko 16, and il check out the technical section. .
