My old man just painted some of his, washed with hot soapy water worked well. I painted my whole dash and roof lining, rubbed the hard plastic parts with green scotchie, and cleaned it all with wax and grease remover first. No problems, spray light coats first aswell. Good luck will I never do it again, not hard just a pain in the arse. If all that fails, try reading instructions on the can.

id be using a scotch pad to scuff up the dash! then wiping over with prepsol! if your getting dots, your either putting it on to heavy or youve got silicon problems! i which you need to clean with prepsol! hope this helps!

Dont use paint stripper, you will have to rub it back and clean it a few times probably with prepsol or wax and grease remover same thing. Dont use antything to harsh or you will melt the plastic.

to me the dots sound like silcone contamination, which is caused by stuff like armoral and stuff to make ur dash shiney. what u should do now is -Sand the paint that u have put on there so far off. - Wash it with hot soapy water - re scotch brite it - clean with a wax and grease remover (prepsol) - paint again. starting with light coats.

yeh u should probably do them in plastic paint, least u know its made for painting on plastic i did my dash about a year ago, all i did was give it a clean with wax and grease remover, put some plastic primer or something on it then painted it with the plastic/vinyl paint, came up really nice and hasnt faded or anything yet best of luck

are u talking interior or exterior door handles i was under the impression the exterior door handles were made of metal. and in that case, normal spray paint would be fine.

Paint doesnt stick to dirt or grime too well so wipe everything you wanna paint down with prepsol before you spray it. I thought it was commonsense but apparently not.
