Heya fella's, Higgo's mrs here. Just wondering whether any of u blokes could give me a step by step guide to changing a water pump on a vr commy. Its started to leak like a bitch, so i thought if i could do it i would. Or is it a job i should leave to my mechanic? Thanks

piece of piss. just take out the fan with the 4 10mm bolts then unplug the connector. loosen the 4 water pump puley bolts BEFORE taking the belt off. then take the belt off via the tensioner(draw a diagram of how it goes on). then just undo the 7 or so bolts holding the pump on and install new one. just make sure the block is clean before fitting the new one and use some soft sealer on the gasket like aviation sealer or the like. make sure you bleed the system properly afterward cos those motors do hold HEAPS of air. its not that hard to do. hardest part would be tyring to put the serpentine belt back on if u are inexperienced
