I had these lying around, so I put them in my new VLCT since one of the lenses in there already was cracked, looked pretty shabby - but I'm going to be needing to go for a RWC soon and wouldn't mind knowing if these would pass? The lights aren't tinted, but the lower half of the chrome reflecting inside the light has been painted black. Still very bright when you turn them on, look just the same as normal headlights when on. Photo without flash And one with. So what do you guys think? Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

Stick em in and find out?! Just drop a name if u get caught.. *wink wink*, or do my trick.. Pretend u know nothing about cars (well i dont) and when the copper pulls u up, just ask him how ur lights work if there painted black?!- Just play dumb as if u didnt know there like that, or they already came like that.

as all the others said, it wont pass RWC. to give you a run down. anything in the headlight that has a reflective surface cannot be modified as you are reducing the headlights output even if its not in the direct path of the globe as it still reflects cause of light refraction and relection from the headlight lens. i also reckon that, that paint would bubble being under high heat in the headlight.

Thanks for the help fellas, I'll keep them in till I need the RWC, they look to nice to take em out untill then That aside, the paint's held up pretty well - done some time ago and it looks like they used an enamel or something, don't think it's going to bubble under the heat anytime soon. Fair enough then! Besides all that, I gave them a bit of a test. Theyre ****ing useless in the dark so no way i'm keeping them in definatly not road worthy. Just swaped the glass backover and cleaned my headlights that i had before so now they look the trick the blackened ones were genuine GMH but a tad molestered (not by me ), but for sale if anyone wants em And besides what I do / don't know, I only know what i've been told. Same for me also - how much do you know about me? If something still needs to be said that already hasn't then theres alwayse PM. Don't need everyone else reading about it. Besides the post in question wasn't about you informing me that they wont pass a roadworthy, but the post that I quoted and has since been deleted. Whatever problems you both have, you need to sort. I don't need to be stuck in the middle Some original photos have not been recovered yet.
