another stupid question
im in the process of swapping all the stuff from my old block to my new rebuilt one, and ive come across the factory surge tank thing.
do i actually need this thing and the bracket its connected to, since i plan on running an aftermarket surge tank is this pointless to have?
and if so how how do i hook up the fuel system to by pass it?
heres some pics of it
Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

charcoal cannister for regency yeah ha ha. It looks like the stock oil catch can if it's coming off your pcv hole thats another thing regency want cause of their stupid emissions law. personally I'm keeping my charcoal cannister cause a- you can't really see it tucked down the side of the engine wall b- the cops are getting smarter and do look for those things and c- it also cuts the fumes in the engine bay hence some getting throught the firewall(stuff all)that's if you still got all your original hoses there.
sorry now I feel stupid, I had a look and I'm not sure what it is I even asked my mechanic and he's never seen it before lol

i don't have the factory manual any more, but that tank stores boost and a solenoid activates it to increase fuel pressure when starting when the coolant temp is over 95(? cant remember the exact number) degrees.
you won't need it and its not for emissions so there shouldn't be a problem removing it.
