Hey guys, my car is almost complete(was actually finished but the microtech computer stuffed up for some reason so sent it away to be fixed, and should have it back in a week). Anyway my running gear consists of engine fully rebuilt 20' oversize, full floating forged arais pistons port and polished head, fully balanced, strengthened rods Crow cams stage 2 cam ACL 3 layer steel cometic headgasket large Custom intake plenum on NA runners custom stainless steel highmount manifold Garret GT35/40 turbo 1.06 ex. housing Apexi tube/fin frount mount intercooler with custom intercooler piping Microtech LT8 computer (used for ignition only) 3 inch exhaust Performance gas setup consisting of Large 440 single gas throttle body 80 mm twin B2 converters large tank done by rapidflow gas research performance in hoppers crossing R33 skyline Gearbox Heavy duty single plate clutch built to handle 350 kw at wheels Custom 1 piece tailshaft Standard LSD 28 spline diff 3.45 gears Whiteline suspension package consisting of lowered springs adjustable front and rear swaybars and adjustable panhard rod. Just wanna hear peoples thoughts/ opinions on my setup about how much power at the wheels i might roughly make after motor is run in and i will run it at 20-25 psi Theres not too many straight gas manual VL's that i have seen. I know GAS-747 runs 10 wif an auto, i just wanna run a low 11 if possible with this setup and wanna hear peoples thoughts or even tell me about other manual straight gas turbo VLs and quarter mile times they have run coz theres not much info about em. Thanks

Yeh i was hoping to achieve around 300kw at the wheels and seeing there isnt many or even any straight gas manual vl's maybe i can set the benchmark or even set a record when i run it who knows.

Im not competing with anybody i just want to achieve what i set out to do in the beginning, hence the reason for me askin this stuff any info from paul or anyone else for that matter is greatly aprreciated. I chose to go a different path with the manual straight gas setup as there arnt many at all and i wanted something different. Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

mate i run a similar setup to you. except with a t04 turbo!! my engine had made 350rwkw in the past. the last time i had it tuned the shop informed me that it was capable of a low 12 when it was running a tune of 380hp. but would make something around the mid 11's with 300+kw. i prob would trust a single plate clutch thou unless it a bloody good one. mine is a 500+hp one and its pretty much rooted. id say it could be done!! the only way to find out is for you to try for the time. good luck!!

sleepabt1 your setup mathimaticly should see the car run an 11 second pass, however as fat3L says clutchs are always going to give you problems on the track, manuals more fun you say? try a transbrake if your aiming for 300 rear wheel kw, a 10 second pass may not be out of the question Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

Id say you could run 10s its a lot harder then people think I ran 11.08 with a 5spd and I make 365rwkw I would have run quicker but I snapped an axle in half. I have a AP-racing twin plate clutch which does not slip one bit under 26psi with slicks. I also do not run gas I run avgas get the car out and see how you go but 10s can be done iv upgraded to 31 spline billet axles and full spool so im hoping for mid 10's next time out best of luck with you run's

Paul wasn't that 288rwkw on the rajab dyno though?

how are you going about running your engine in, are you running it on petrol then changing over to straight gas or flash lube etc? have u had it tuned at all yet like even on 7 pound or so to run it in?

I know of another BT1, manual but not on gas that ran an 11.6 @ 121 mph with 290rwkw... The only thing that lets it down is the clutch... just cant get a tough launch unless you have a mega clutch and can just stand on it, then its not making boost until it has weight on it, then first gear goes about 3 metres. This car is now making 320rwkw.. should be time for another run edit: Wasnt 121mph was 125.00 mph. Just checked the time slip. Some original photos have not been recovered yet.
