Hi guys, Im after some power out of my vs v6 and i am thinking of a crs supercharger kit? I dont know what to do to it to get power, someone said get 1.9ratio roller rockers and even a cam and chip package?? Any help on getting power without breaking the bank would be great. P.S i already have a pod and a exhaust so yer? Thanx Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

good cheap power mods dont exist! how much do u have? even the 1.9 rollers are something like $700 then u gotta have them fitted up unless u can do that yourself. they would go better with a cam obviously, and would give a decent increase in power... but really to get good speed out of any motor requires money. heads, cam, rockers, cai, retune, 3.9's, stall... thats one path or save more, and go forced induction, more expensive but FAR better path

Dont the offset roller rockers negate the need for a cam?If you can afford them get them.Get a $48 cold air intake and a $20 mod chip from ebay, new leads, plugs,MSD coils and 2.5" tailpipe should get her going.

all a high ratio roller rocker does is amplify the lift of a cams lobes.. they are called 1.9 ratio because they take the lobe of the cam say it was .290" and multiply that by 1.9 and thats how far the valve will open respectively.. (pretty sure thats how it works anyway ) the stock cam is a baby with very small lift, so sure it opens that up, but it takes a baby cam and turns it into an infant cam.... in no way does it negate the need for a bigger camshaft, if u get an aftermarket cam it will work just the same on that too the other benefit is they're meant to be frictionless so u might save some horsepower there, but i dont think the 1.9's are even roller rockers are they? arent they just modified rocker arms? FIT have dyno sheets proving what they do so id be convinced for sure.. but they arent cheap really. Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

raptor is a brand of supercharger, the 1.9 ratio roller rockers are and exellent mod to do, it gives you the effect of a cam swap but with out the hassel and less $$$...u will get a little more power by having a cam but u will save $$$ by using the rockers instead. if later on you do decide to go a cam you will have to change your rockers back to 1.7's as the 1.9's will be too big to match with a cam..alternativly buy a second hand supercharged v6 outta a wreck and drop it straight in...boost, rockers, zorst and cooler looking at 200+rwkw...there is an 11sec super6 motor selling at da moment for $4,000, drop it straight in and your done..check out www.v6supercharged.com.au (http://www.v6supercharged.com.au) Dave, VTPSI
