hey guys well after four years of waiting to turn 18, the time has finally come and i am now the proud owner of my first car, my 1988 VL Calais. it was built in May 1988 so it is still 18years old... lol, just thought id mention that. its white over silver, has all the Calais features. It is pretty standard except for the stereo which consists of a JVC touch screen head unit, standard front speakers and Fusion 6.5" components in the rear shelf. the exhuast is modified with 1.5" Y style extractors leading into a twin 2" pipes and then into a single 2.5" exhaust! its also got a large cold air induction with a 3.5" PVC pipe leading from under the headlights to under the box(cut in the body to get into airbox). it sounds pretty beefy which is enough now till the whole motor gets rebuilt and ready for boost. also, the car rides on really low springs, i think they are superlows real low! the car was advertised on this forum a couple of months ago and i finally bought it in mid-February!! since ive got the car, heres what i have done: - serviced absolutley everything - Heavy duty brake pads - polished the wheels - advanced the timing - new rear bumpers - new fusion rear splits - restored rear garnish with new tail lights, cleaned the garnish and moulds, new garnish sticker kit - and bits and peices here and there! future mods are to: - install a new alarm (now done) - kill switch - replace intank fuel pump - and a few other bits and pieces that i find that need replacing, but hey its a car thats almost 2 decades old! the first two shots were taken when i got the car, and the rest are the most recent shots of the car! enjoy

here are some more pics of the car! as you can see ive removed the trailer hole and plug, also replaces the rear tail lights as my old ones were slightly tinted and had wear marks on them. All in all its improved the look of the rear dramatically. Now all its needs is a respray and to replace the rear bumpers and bars!
