Hey guys, just trying to work out if i actually need a bigger stall or if the standard one will be fine for my application. Mods are - t3/t4 highflow To4 .06 comp cover To4 H -trim 58mm front wheel sierra cosworth exhaust wheel Modified Vlt exhaust housing. Has made 270rwkw before on Manual Twincam. - GTR injectors - Extreme Manifolds Plenum - Monsta High Mount Exhaust Manifold - 3 inch cooler piping - 3inch Exhaust - Shift Kitted Rebuild trans with extra clutches in it (not manualised) - BOV - Bosch 984 Fuel Pump Im hoping for around 200-250rwkw with this setup So do you guys think i actually need a bigger stall convertor then normal, and if so who should i do see in adelaide. Obviously id prefer to use the standard one if i can get away with it cos i am a tightarse.

Yes, atleast 2800, prolly go 3000. Ive used that turbo and without a stall you will hate it off the line. Mike at MV Autos can organise to modify your stock one, unsure on price, wouldnt be much.

FATPSI has the same turbs or there abouts but running a trimatic full manuual with a 3500 stall and off the line it is an animal with no traction what so ever with slicks this thing wil jet

3500 will be overkill.

so 2800-3000 is a must then? also, i think someone told me i will need to strengthen the flexplate or something, is this true and if so how is it done? thanks heaps for your replys to far i might get the stall done before i chuck the motor in, just so i dont have to take the trans out a second time. Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

If its totally stock they only make power to 4500ish?... Youre losing a lot of the torque they have down low which really is the only place a stock5ltr makes pwr. They certainly dont rev. Oh and definately get flex plate done, as Jake said MV can do that...Ninos didnt get done and his was rubbing with 199.9rwkw through an almost identical turbo.
