hey all. Got a few questions to ask about simmons. I've had a few simmons wheels on different cars the f90 wheel on a vl turbo and on latest calais i have (i don't know the model) but there 16" with all the little spokes and their gold. First question is how much are these rims worth. their pratically brand new in very good cond? 2nd question.. Im in the process on getting quotes for fr 18s. Cheapest i have got so far is $744 a rim. Sound ok? Also is 18x8 rim a good idea. Will i run into any trouble considering car is only about 1.5" lower than factory?? Thanks for the help

FR18s @ $744 a rim...you might aswell pay another $100 a rim and get FR19s...or find a set of good 2nd hand FR18s on here or Ebay and save yourself a packet. Personally, i'd never buy FRs brand new. The rims you sound like you have are V5s, they arent worht much because they are slightly dated and 16s arent that sought after...having said that, they still look tough on a VH SLE or similar. Should get $1000ish for them if they have decent tyres?...

Yeh they have brand new tyres. Will 19s fit on a vl without having to modify suspension? Already has aftermarket suspension on it.

Yeah mate, I got em, heaps of people have em, just go with 19x8s.

I didnt buy mine new but I know a guy that did through Tempe not that long ago, polished they were $4500 with Falken tyres I believe.

Thanks for advice wynup. just got off the phone to simmons. 19" fr wheels are $3340 for 4 compared to $2976 for 18" fr for 4. I think 19 is the way to go. Now for colour choice. Can anyone here please do us a massive favour and host a pic of my car so i can hopefully get someone to photchop a gold fr 19 and a silver 19". Would really appreciate it.

What colours your car?

Car has been resprayed in Eucumbene blue which came out on the calais. its a dark blue. The gold v5 simmons look good on it however i'm a bit skeptical what gold fr 19s would look like due to how much gold is actually going to be on the rim. I'm leaning towards charcoal or silver. hard decidion without seeing both sets on the car

Gold will look good man, silver will look subtle but very mint and charcoal is tough for a racier look..take your pic...Lol. Silver is the safe option IMO.
